Paris and its surrounding area are expecting more severe flooding, as the River Seine continues to rise. Weather authorities have warned the river could stay at its current level throughout next week.
Some streets have already been waterlogged, forcing residents to travel by boat. 86 patients at a health center in northwest Paris, needed to be evacuated due to the extreme flooding. More than 650 people have been forced to leave their homes across the French capital. Several museums including the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay, have been on high alert, with parts of the Louvre already closed to visitors.
