What happens when you take a typical Chinese treat like baozi, and mix it with the Western staple, pizza? Inspired by a business trip to the southeastern Chinese city of Guangdong, US businessman Alex Cree came up with the idea to combine the two into a new fusion food: “Bao-zza”. 

Convinced of the idea's success, he quit his job and moved to China to start his "Bao-zza" business in Beijing. After experimenting with various recipes, he has now perfected his product: the outside is Chinese, made up of traditional baozi dough, while the inside - cheese, Italian herbs and tomatoes - is quintessentially pizza-like.
