Central China Investment and Trade Exposition is set to open right after the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in May. It focuses on expanding foreign investment and foreign trade between Central China and the rest of the world.
Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen on Tuesday briefed the media about characteristics of the expo before the expo takes place. He said this year’s expo will match with the Belt and Road Initiative to implement its concepts.

China’s Anhui Province is set to host the ‘Expo Central China,’ with the theme of “New Ideas for Development, New Opportunities for Prosperity.” There will be events on policy discussion, industrial cooperation, project matchmaking, among others.
China’s Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen said that special arrangements have been made to implement the Belt and Road Initiative, including guests from Belt and Road countries, and politicians and officials from these countries making keynote speeches, and themed activities matching focuses of the initiative including areas of infrastructure, financial cooperation and resources.

"More than 2,400 guests representing governments and foreign enterprises have confirmed to attend," Wang said.
Wang also specified the advantages that the province has. For instance, authorities in central China also have various sources of human capital and population, and favor policies for foreign investment regarding taxes.
