Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's wife, Akie Abe, has cut ties with an elementary school involved in a shady land deal. In this deal, an educational body bought state land which is said to be worth 956 million yen for a bottom price of 134 million yen.
Abe denied any involvement in it, saying that his wife tried to refuse the honorary president title before having to accept it.
On February 23, all information relating to Abe Akie was removed from the website of the school.
