Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi will pay a visit to the United States from February 27 to 28, at the invitation of the US government, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced on Sunday.
During the visit, Yang is expected to meet with high-level US officials on Sino-US relations and issues of common concern.
Yang already spoke to new US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson by phone on February 21, during which the two sides affirmed the importance of a constructive relationship between the two nations.
