Turkey is in negotiations with the US and UK to have Turkish Airlines and Istanbul’s Ataturk airport dropped from a recent ban that prevents passengers from carrying electronics larger than cellphones in their carry-on luggage.
The US Department of Homeland Security said on Tuesday that passengers traveling from specified airports, including Istanbul, would not be allowed to bring devices such as tablets, laptops and cameras into the main cabin of an aircraft.
