And staying with the Pyeongchang Games, Russian bobsledder Alexey Voevoda , will not be attending after he has been given a life ban by the IOC from the Olympics for doping violations from the Sochi Games where he won two gold medals.
The 37-year-old won gold in the two-man and four-man bobsled in 2014, but the IOC say he and the Russian team have been disqualified from both. The decision comes two weeks after the IOC banned Russia from next year's Pyeongchang Winter Olympics for what it called "unprecedented systematic manipulation" of the anti-doping system. The IOC left the door open for Russian athletes with a clean history of non-doping to be invited to compete as neutrals.
