India's History in Space: India launches its 100th satellite

India has successfully launched the country's 100th satellite from its southern space port. The earth observation satellite Cartosat was carried by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. Along with that, 30 other satellites were launched in a single mission. This is India's first such rocket mission after the unsuccessful launch of a navigation satellite last August.
