Let's look at how both Saudi Arabia and Turkey see the most pressing regional issues.

Regarding the ongoing diplomatic stand-off with Qatar, they are most certainly in opposition camps, with Turkey coming down favorably on Doha's side.  While both countries seek President Assad's exit from Syria, Turkey wants him to be replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood's Syria branch, a position which is unacceptable to the Saudi government.  When it comes to Iran, relations between Riyadh and Tehran have always been tense, with the two countries competing for influence in the region. However, Turkey doesn't have the same kind of rivalry with Iran and the pair do cooperate in a number of areas.
