Spring Festival Travel Rush: Additional trains help ease congestion as Chinese head home

The Spring Festival travel rush has entered its fifth day. Railway traffic has seen significant rise since last Thursday. An estimated 9 million passenger trips have been made to date. National railway authorities have added over 600 trains to ease the pressure. And Chinese tourists are expected to make a record 6.5 million visits overseas. Thailand, Japan, and Singapore are the top 3 destinations.
