We heard more about this dialogue from our reporter Zheng Yibing.
ZHENG YIBING BEIJING We know from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, there are over 600 representatives here. This morning, they attended various activities. We heard some were invited for a rare tour to the Party School of the CPC Central Committee. The school is the Party's main think tank and training institution. Some other representatives visited an exhibition on China's achievements over the past five years. Both tours' aim were to help world party representatives understand the CPC's efforts to improve living standards in China, and the new development phase of socialism with Chinese characteristics. There've also been two parallel meetings, featuring the CPC's discussions with party representatives from Africa and central Asia, on their relationship and communication. This afternoon will be the opening ceremony of the high-level meeting. Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech at four p.m. The Party Central Committee International Department says the meeting's theme is "Working Together Towards A Community with A Shared Future for Humanity and A Better World: Responsibilities of Political Parties". Xi Jinping is expected to elaborate on these topics, as well as socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era.
