China's Largest Container Ship: Ship expected to carry 20,000 containers
[]
China has launched the construction of its largest container ship, capable of transporting an estimated 20-thousand containers.

The ship's outfitting has currently entered what's known as the debugging phase. The colossal vessel is expected to reach a staggering length of nearly 400 meters, while being 80 meters wide - that's 58-point-6 meters wider than the country's first domestically built aircraft carrier.

It will reach a towering height of 74 meters, equivalent to a 25-story building, and its area will be equal to four football fields. A three-month outfitting and equipment commissioning is required for the ship, and after that, it will be bound for a final deep-sea test.
