In the CBA, the starters for the All-Star game in Shenzhen have been named. Voting for the game, was tabulated on the CBA's website, and there is a strong local flavour to the North and South teams, as no imports have been included in the starting line-up for the game next weekend.
Here is a look at the Southern team, where Yi Jianlian garnered gets the most votes with almost 250-thousand. He is one of three Guangdong players. He is joined on the squad by teammates Zhao Rui and Zhou Peng. Wu Qian from Zhejiang, and Gu Quan of Shenzhen complete the starting five.
The north sees a pair of Liaoning players on it. Guo Ailun, was the top vote-getter for this squad, and is joined by his teammate Han Dejun. Last season's domestic MVP Ding Yanyuhang of Shandong had the second most votes. The squad is rounded out by a couple of Beijing players, Zhai Xiaochuan and Fang Shuo. The rest of the rosters will be named before next week's game.
As for real action, the next round of games is set for tonight, here is a look at a few. The Qingdao Eagles take on the Beijing Ducks. The Shanxi Dragons face the Shanghai Sharks.Guangdong goes against Sichuan. Shandong will play Fujian. Liaoning take on league-leading Guangsha. Defending champs Xinjiang face Guangzhou.
