India Missile Test: India test fires ICBM
[]
India has test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile the country calls Agni-Five, having a strike range of over five-thousand kilometers.
The missile test-firing is being dubbed as another step forward toward its eventual induction into the Strategic Forces Command. Several more tests are needed before the 50-tonne weapon is produced in adequate numbers for induction. The Strategic Forces Command was established in 2003 to manage India's nuclear weapons. It already has three previous versions of the Agni missile as part of its arsenal.
