Qatar has accused Saudi Arabia and its three allies of defamation. 

The statement came after the four countries said on Thursday that Qatar's refusal to meet their demands was proof of its links to terrorism. 

The neighboring countries also threatened to impose further sanctions. 

Qatar has dismissed the accusation that it is financing terrorism as baseless. 

A foreign ministry official said Qatar is ready to cooperate and review all claims that do not harm its sovereignty. 

Saudi-Arabia and its allies issued a list of 13 demands, including the shutdown of Al Jazeera TV, as a prerequisite to lifting the sanctions on June 22.
