Hisense releases China’s first duel-screen smartphone

Hisense A2, China’s first dual screen smartphone debuted on Thursday by Chinese tech company Hisense in Qingdao, Shandong Province.

Hisense, which is widely known for its TV productions, also manufactures smartphones as well as other household appliances actually. This newly launched Hisense A2 features duel screens with one in front and the other at the back. Its primary display is a 5.5-inch full high definition AMOLED screen, and the rear one a 5.2-inch E-ink screen.
A2 has applied an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, and both sides have configured fingerprint sensors, earphones and cameras, creating a better interaction between users and the handset. Users can enjoy multiple functions even without recognizing the front or back side.
The rear E-ink screen brings users a reading experience similar to traditional paper books, which greatly decreases visual fatigue. Apart from sunlight visibility and low power consumption, it boasts displaying static images without consuming any power.
As shown on Hisense’s website, the handset with its retail price 2,999 RMB (about 437 US dollars), will be available for sale from March.
