At the press conference of the Fifth Session of the 12th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, or the CPPCC National Committee, on Thursday, CPPCC spokesman Wang Guoqing told reporters that China is to carry out the supervision on the value added tax (VAT) reform.
Wang said that companies’ tax burden in China is not high as it in China is at the medium and lower level. There have been efforts and those efforts will continue to reduce tax burden on companies in China.

The common values are supported by the two sides, Wang added that at least seven provinces have established related regulations, which clarifies to the two sides what can be done and what can not.

Being asked by an NBC reporter about the freedom of navigation and military infrastructure installed on the South China Sea islands, Wang reiterated that China has every right over the South China Sea islands, and China attaches great importance on the freedom of navigation on the South China Sea.
China will continue to safeguard its territory according to law, Wang said.
