Wikileaks: UK court to rule on Assange arrest warrant
[]
A court in London is scheduled to hold a hearing today to decide whether to lift a UK arrest warrant for WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.
If the court agrees to cancel the arrest warrant, he will be able to step outside the Ecuadorian embassy for the first time in five years. Assange entered the Ecuadoran embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden over a 2010 probe into allegations of rape and sexual assault. Sweden dropped that investigation last year, but British police continued to seek to arrest Assange for breach of bail conditions.
