Military buffs can get a virtual 360-degree tour of a formidable Russian base in the Arctic with a new app launched by the country’s Defense Ministry. The Arctic Shamrock facility covers 14,000 square meters on Alexandra Land, part of the Franz Josef Land archipelago. It includes a command control center, military equipment, and accommodation for soldiers. According to the ministry, the base can house 150 personnel and stock enough fuel and food for as long as 18 months.
