Lighting candles and praying for peace, people from all walks of life, from different countries around the world, are taking time today to remember the victims of the 1937 Nanjing Massacre.
Visitors prayed next to a mass grave, where some 10,000 victims of Japanese aggression were buried. The gathering took place as China held a National Memorial Day on Wednesday. The Nanjing Massacre is one of the darkest moments in Chinese and human history, and will never be forgotten. But candles of hope are being lit around the world, for a brighter future.
