Taiwan Earthquake: Transportation disrupted amid damage to roads, bridges and train stations

Following the quake, transport on the island has been disrupted as roads, bridges and train stations are cracked and damaged. Several highways have been closed for safety reasons. The Qixingtan Bridge was seriously damaged and has been closed to traffic. Services by the Taiwan Railways Administration were suspended, and Taipei Metro trains forced to travel at slow speeds immediately after the quake. But both services have since returned to normal.
