The flame was carried on a bicycle caravan through the frozen landscape of Yanggu, then brought down a zip line at the Yanggu "Sky-Jeep". The day ended with a cauldron lighting at the Yanggu Citizens Sports Center and an evening of performance. The Olympic torch relay is traveling along a route measuring exactly 2,018 kilometers, that number the same as the year of the Games.
