Ethiopian PM arrives in Beijing for Belt and Road Forum

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn arrived in Beijing on Friday for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which will be held in the Chinese capital on May 14 and 15.
A total of 29 heads of state and government will attend the forum, the highest-profile international meeting on the Belt and Road since Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the initiative in 2013.
China-Ethiopia relations have developed rapidly since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1970, with the bilateral relationship continuing to play an important role in South-South Cooperation.
