FIFA Corruption Scandal: Blatter considering legal action against FIFA
[]
Off to FIFA-land now, and the former president of football's governing body is considering legal action against his former employer. Sepp Blatter led FIFA for 17 years, but is currently serving a ban from the sport. The 81-year-old says he and his lawyers are working on a potential case.
Grampa Munster resigned from his post in June 2015 after several dozen football officials, including FIFA executive committee members and former members, had been indicted in the United States on graft charges, along with two sports marketing firms. He was not among those indicted, but became embroiled in scandal when he was banned from all football-related activity by FIFA's Ethics Committee. In December 2016, Blatter lost an appeal in the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the suspension. He did not immediately respond to requests for a comment.
