Syria's army and its allies have pressed further into the country's largest remaining rebel stronghold. Government forces have stepped up the offensive in the northwestern province of Idlib in recent days.
Supported by Iran-backed militias and Russian air power, the Syrian Arab Army has taken back rebel-held territory in Idlib and the central province of Hama since October last year.
The main rebel force in Idlib is the jihadist umbrella group Tahrir al-Sham, spearheaded by the former al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria previously called Nusra Front.
