China is firmly opposed to any countries selling weapons to Taiwan in any form or conducting military cooperation with Taiwan, spokesperson An Fengshan for the State Council’s Taiwan Affairs Office said at a press conference on Wednesday.
He reiterated that Taiwan issues are part of China's internal affairs, and the peaceful development of cross-strait relations is the fundamental guarantee of maintaining peace and stability of the Straits.
Any attempt to resist reunification by the use of force will harm the interests of people on both sides of the Strait, An added.
