Saturday's pairs final saw two Chinese duos stepping up to the podium, with reigning world champs Sui Wenjing and Han Cong taking gold. They performed to the classic music of 'Turandot', receiving 150.93 points, the highest free skate total of their careers, and coming out tops with an overall score of 231.07. In the same event, Yu Xiaoyu and Zhang Hao put on an almost flawless routine and made only two small mistakes, securing them the silver medal.
