One was killed and 14 others wounded in an explosion outside an aid agency office in Afghanistan. Four attackers set off a car bomb in the city of Jalalabad and then stormed the charity's compound with a rocket-propelled grenade. After over three hours, security forces finally fought their way into the compound and brought the assault to an end. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the Taliban issued a statement denying involvement.
