New Zealand military planes have been scouring a section of the Pacific Ocean for more survivors from a missing ferry.
Eight of the ferry's passengers were rescued from a dinghy that had been adrift for days. Officials say the survivors, including an unconscious teenage girl, were safely transferred to a nearby fishing vessel late on Sunday. The ferry with 50 people on board was reported missing on January 20th, two days after it left Nonouti Island on its way to Kiribati.
