Spring Festival Travel Rush: 1,500 workers change rail tracks in 8.5 hours

Workers at a station in China's Fujian Province won a race against time two weeks ago to prepare for the rush.
To guarantee normal train operations during the day, workers were able to replace a section of train tracks overnight, in less than nine hours. The operation involved the removal of three old tracks, the laying down of five tracks leading to a new platform, as well as the installation of a new power supply and communication systems. More than 15-hundred workers took part. The project managers say they held multiple rehearsals and spent 10 months getting ready.
