The mass migration of sardines along South Africa's eastern coast is a spectacular sight.
Known as the sardine run, the traveling giant shoal of fish is as much a magnet for marine predators as it is for tourists and locals.
Stretching from five to seven kilometers in length and up to two kilometers in width, the sardine run is like an early Christmas present for dolphins, sharks and penguins and a unique experience for scuba divers.
