Majestic morning mist hangs over northern China Residents of Zaoyuan Town in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province recently found themselves inside a real-life dream, as mist shrouded nearby loess hills and valleys, adding a majestic touch to the natural landscape of the region. Loess is sediment usually yellow or brown in color, and formed by an accumulation of wind-blown silt. Recent rainfall contributed to the formation of the white blanket that traveled over vast swathes of the region, creating breathtaking scenery.
