Two civilians and a policeman were killed in a militant attack in the Indian-controlled Kashmir region on Saturday night, while one militant was killed in retaliatory action, police said on Sunday.
According to police, militants fired at a police patrol that was busy clearing traffic in Kashmir's Kulgam district, leading to the death of one policeman, two civilians and one terrorist.
Three others, including a policeman, were injured and had been admitted to a Srinagar hospital, said Director General of Police (DGP), Shesh Paul Vaid.
