The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards has announced this year's film and television winners.
The dark drama "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" won the award for best drama motion picture, best actress, best supporting actor and best screenplay. British actor Gary Oldman won the best actor award for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in "Darkest Hour." And Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro took home his first Golden Globe for directing the acclaimed fantasy romance "The Shape of Water."
For TV, "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Big Little Lies" were among the big winners. Hulu's "The Handmaid's Tale" won best drama series and the show's star, Elisabeth Moss won the award for best lead actress. HBO's "Big Little Lies" scooped up a rare trio of acting awards for Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgard and Laura Dern. While Sterling K. Brown took home the best actor award for his performance in "This is us".
This year's awards ceremony is seen as the first big opportunity for the industry to unite against a pervasive culture of sexual misconduct in Hollywood, and stars wore black on the red carpet to mark the occasion.
