Syrian government troops have reportedly recaptured several strategic villages and key points in the south of the country from ISIL militants. 

The recaptured area is located in one of the three de-escalation zones. A Syrian opposition coalition accused the government forces of violating the ceasefire brokered by the US and Russia on Sunday. 

The government forces dismissed the comment. They said the Syrian army supports the ceasefire and will continue its military campaign against ISIL. Thousands of people have reportedly been displaced in the seven-year conflict.
