Chinese President Xi Jinping has held a phone call with his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in. President Xi said China was fully behind any improvement in relations between South Korea and the DPRK. Both leaders agreed to work together to ensure this week's inter-Korean dialogue can lead to peace in the region. Seoul and Pyongyang held their first high-level dialogue since 2015 on Tuesday, after which the DPRK side said it would send a sizeable delegation to the Winter Olympics in South Korea next month.
