Obesity is linked to fertility problems for women at reproductive age, such as hormonal imbalances and ovulation issues, as well as complications during pregnancy for expecting mothers, including gestational diabetes. Overweight men are also at risk, as obesity has proven to be related to low sperm production. The couple signed up for a weight loss program, which saw them reversing the course of their everyday life by eating healthy and exercising more often. They spent over a year in the city of Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province, thousands of kilometers away from their native Sichuan Province, to achieve their goal of being in shape. /VCG Photo
