A subway train in Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province, is celebrating China's "I love you" day by painting its coaches pink and giving each one a separate theme, marking the different points in a person's romantic "journey". The train will be running for a month. /CFP

May 20th, or more precisely the numbers making up the date 520, sounds similar to "I love you" in Chinese. And Chinese netizens now mark the day as being romantically significant. /CFP

Each coach is covered with pink wallpapers and printed with comments or quotations about love. The train company collected the comments from the internet. /CFP

One quote on the train shows someone expressing their love to their family, while other quotes captured people expressing their love to the city. There are even quotes directed at the subway drivers saying “I like you”. /CFP

The pink train was officially launched on Friday morning and its six coaches were reflected the different stages of a relationship, including “single train”, “confession train” and “marriage train”. /CFP
