We quicken the pace now, and move from one all-time great in Federer, to another in Usain Bolt. Recently, the world's fastest man may have called time out on his illustrious career, but his commitment to athletics is far from over. The Jamaican is in South Africa and taking part in a coaching clinic in Johannesburg. He's hoping to inspire and develop young sprinting talent. CGTN's Sias du Plessis tells us more.
Life after athletics has been far from relaxing for the world's fastest man, the world 100m world record holder is currently on a whirlwind tour of South Africa to seek out the future sprinting stars of the rainbow nation and imparting his wisdom on the young and upcoming sprinters.
USAIN BOLT 8-TIME OLYMPIC CHAMPION "Just to be here and give them energy and to just make them feel good. You know what I mean and give them energy, tell them how it is that. It is not easy, it is hard work and especially to enjoy the sport also because I really enjoyed track and field when I was doing it, it is just to make them feel anything is possible."
The 8-time Olympic gold medallist says he wasn't surprised to see the impact world and Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk has had on the 400m event and even tipped him for greatness the first time he saw him in action.
USAIN BOLT WORLD'S FASTEST MAN "When the first year when he came to Jamaica and we all trained together. I was saying to my coach that in a matter of time, when he is ready, he can break the world record with ease and he agreed with me. So when it happened I wasn't very surprised. It was the fact that he almost ran 42 (seconds) that I was surprised about."
The Jamaican believes that his 100m world record of 9.58 seconds will be broken in the future as athletes develop new ways to train and run more efficiently.
USAIN BOLT JAMAICAN SPRINTING LEGEND "No one knows what the possibilities are when it comes to time, you know what I mean, you can't set limits for yourself because every year people say you can't run 9,8 and then somebody runs 9,8 and you can't run 9,7 and someone, so it is only going to keep going."
SIAS DU PLESSIS JOHANNESBURG "Usain Bolt is regarded by many as the finest athlete the world has ever seen and to have an icon of athletics giving back to the sport and imparting his invaluable knowledge on the future sprinters of South Africa can only bode well for the young and upcoming speedsters who dream of emulating the world record holder, Sias du Plessis, CGTN, Johannesburg."
