First held in 1990, the Beijing Book Fair has become an established tradition among the reading public in Beijing and neighboring regions.
According to the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication, reading is being increasingly done on smartphones and tablets but the traditional book format remains the first choice among serious readers in China.
The fair comes ahead of World Book Day on April 23.
