Kindergartens in Beijing will now have educational inspectors on staff to supervise how schools are run. Local authorities say inspectors will establish a database on the state of facilities, safety, sanitation, faculty, and management. Large-scale safety checks on the city's kindergartens are currently underway.
Authorities say corrective measures will be ordered if inadequacies are found in the areas of fire control, surveillance, and food that's served to children.
