Argentinian Raul Lozano was appointed as the new coach of the Chinese men's national volleyball team on Monday, the first time a non-Chinese has been put in charge.
The 61-year-old helped Poland win silver at the 2006 World Championship and guided Germany to the men's European title in 2009.  He also previously coached Spain and helped Iran claim their first ever Olympic berth, last year in Rio, where the newcomers had an impressive run, finishing fifth in the men's tournament.

Lozano will now bring in a couple of his countrymen to his coaching staff, to join four Chinese coaches.
China’s women have been at the top of their game in the past few years, winning gold in Rio last year and at the 2015 World Cup, and silver at the 2014 World Championship. But the men’s team has struggled, only qualifying twice for Olympic Games, in 1984 and 2008.
