The attacks on London Bridge and neighboring Borough Market on Saturday came just two weeks after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at a pop concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring over 110 others.

Investigations into the deadly suicide attack are still underway, with police arresting 17 suspects in connection with the incident, which was claimed by ISIL.

Libyan security sources have said the bomber is suspected of being "remotely controlled" by ISIL. Salman Abedi, 22, is understood to have made phone calls to two phone numbers in Libya moments before the explosion.

According to US officials, the explosives used in the Manchester bombing were the same as those used in the Paris and Brussels attacks.
