Google in China: US tech giant opens new office in Shenzhen

US tech giant Google has opened an office in the southern Chinese metropolis Shenzhen. Its Beijing and Shanghai locations already employ about six hundred staff members.
Reports say the new office is likely to be used by a number of teams that already spend a lot of time in the city. The office isn't a Google campus. The company has taken up space within a serviced office. Shenzhen is known as the global hardware hub. Tencent and mobile giants Huawei and ZTE have their headquarters there.
