A 23-year-old giant panda gave birth to twins last Sunday at the Shenshuping Base of Wolong National Nature Reserve in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Haizi is the world’s oldest panda mother. She last delivered a pair of panda twins in 2013 when she was 19 years old.
A 23-year-old giant panda is equivalent to 80 in human years.
Summer is the peak season for giant panda reproduction. Haizi copulated with Yibao on April 5 without human assistance.
After around four months into the pregnancy, she gave birth to her twins.
