Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said the UN-led peace talks in Geneva are the only place to negotiate a political solution to the Syrian conflict. In a speech at Munich Security Conference, Cavusoglu said the meetings in Astana sponsored by Russia, Turkey and Iran were only intended to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire deal.
