Rather than shell out a fortune for a traditional Chinese wedding convoy of limos and luxury cars, one young couple in northwest China city Xi’an decided to just bike to their wedding instead. The video became an online sensation in China.

Traditionally, the groom is supposed to pick up the bride and take her to the site of the wedding ceremony. In the past, couples have been seen to hire out Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces and transport trucks to make that important journey.

However, this couple said using shared bikes was not only environmentally friendly, but also very romantic. The college sweethearts majored in resources and environment.
