The remarks were collected from thousands of citizens wanting to profess their feelings to loved ones. One note reads: “Thank you for marrying me and including me in your future.”/CFP Photo
Not all were messages to boyfriends and girlfriends however: one person expressed love for Shenzhen: “I made my acquaintance with the city 16 years ago. I’ve left but I will try to see you again in two years when I go to Shenzhen University.”/CFP Photo
