Xu Chunfeng was invited to be the head chef at the BRICS International Broadcast Center. He has 40 years experience making shacha noodles.
XU CHUNFENG, DISH LINE CHEF There are 7-8 ingredients included in the base. We blend oil extracted from peanuts, roasted sesame oil with curry and chili powder and mix them with the soup last.
This shacha is different than most you'll find in the city. Because there are Muslim journalists here, he's using chicken as a base instead of pork. Chefs are using the best of what this region has to offer.
