South Korea's Unification Ministry has sent the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a list of the 5 delegates that will take part in next week's high-level talks. The list was communicated through the recently restored hotline.
According to Seoul's Unification Ministry, the proposed South Korean delegation, will be led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon, and will include two deputy ministers, each from the Unification Ministry, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Cho Myoung-gyon, is a veteran negotiator with extensive experience in inter-Korean dialogue.
However, the hotline operation was closed without receiving the DPRK's list of its delegation. Hotline communications are expected to resume Sunday. Next week's rare dialogue will look at the DPRK's participation at the Winter Olympics in South Korea, next month.
